Buds of inspiration and excitement brought us to Cuzco in 2020 under the name Kao. We made our culinary proposal – the fusion between Peruvian and Thai cuisines – a concept established in the city. Our flavors made their way through countless palates, but we felt something was missing. So, in the search for immersing ourselves more in local products, we reinvented ourselves as <b Tak Thai; a symbol of our gratitude to a land that allows us to continue growing.

CHEF KENT ZUÑIGA

Chef from Arequipa with Major and Tacna roots with experience in restaurants – several of them awarded with Michelin stars in different countries such as: Italy, United States, and Spain.

He made the knowledge and techniques acquired from his travels through Southeast Asia, his commitment to Andean and regional ingredients and their producers, his love for local Cusco cuisine, and his passion for culinary art a hallmark that we see today in Tak Thai's kitchen. A hallmark reflected in every detail, flavor, and presentation of a menu reborn under Kent's signature.
